PALO ALTO, U.S.– Chipmaking equipment supplier Lam Research expects to lose $2 billion to $2.5 billion in annual revenue as a result of Washington’s latest chip ban on China, which is set to cost the American company some “very profitable” Chinese clients, Lam said Wednesday.

The California-based company is the world’s fourth-largest semiconductor equipment maker by market share.
